Mid Term

as a child I grew up looking at paintings of Colombian master Alejandro Obregon, over two decades of art training and my father's artistic influences; i was asked to be a realist by both my culture and my father. today I have chosen to be bold, diving into the world of abstraction using knife and brush-dragging techniques to create textured paintings. the elements of experimentation and transformation are found in the "serpent series" Inspired by old expressionist masters, Greek sculpture, and Salman Koshroo. these paintings are rooted in my self expression, combining both figure and abstract subjects in a expressive matter.
